Three Ways to Advertise on Your Car for Money

There are at least three ways to advertise on your car for money that I can come up with:

  1. Sign up for an ad wrap car advertising program and get matched with an advertiser.
  2. Put an ad up on Craigslist or eBay offering up the advertising space on your car.
  3. Cold call on local businesses in your area to see if they'd be interested in putting their ad on your car for a monthly fee.
Nearly every day, I hit my local Starbucks for my regular cup of coffee.  Tucked back in this shopping area near the Starbucks - but not facing the street - is a little t-shirt printing shop.  I know they can't get much foot traffic.  I did notice that they have an online store, but because of their location they must have to spend a lot of money in advertising to be able to generate sufficient traffic to pay for their building.  Can you really make that much off of t-shirts?

I've considered going in and asking them if we couldn't work out a deal where they would advertise on my wife's car in exchange for a monthly fee.  I did check with my wife first, of course.  She doesn't have a problem with it.  I haven't, though, because I'm not really a salesman and going in and trying to explain the whole arrangement might take up a lot of time and get me know where.

It was much easier signing up online for the regular "advertise on your car for money" programs.
